Marooned in Scarborough!

There is an altantic low that seems to be confusing the met office ! Winds from any direction of the compass and any strengh and all at the same time it would seem! Add torrential rain and it’s so, so much fun!! The German boat, Koller, that we rescued yesterday has swelled our charity bucket which was a lovely gesture. It became clear at low water just how much danger they were in; probably a capsize situation, making the attitude of the Harbour personnel even more difficult to understand as they would have known of the danger of their position and underwater hazards – we were blissfully unaware. However all ended safely. Roast chicken on board St Jarna tonight and I guess a bottle or 2!!

Well that sounds like an improvement on heading South – Yorkshire at least is being battered by some impressive (and somewhat loud) thunderstorms, I’m off to find a duvet to hide under now.
