Today started brilliantly with a harbour offical knocking on the boat to say they were offering us free moorings given our charity status and the inclement weather. Although we had a rocky start here, our experiences have improved dramatically and I would now recommend the port as an overnight stop to other fleeing North sea demons! It is only recently that the harbour has catered for visiting yachts following the decline of the fishing fleets and I think they are probably on a steep learning curve – as are we!
Today the wind and weather are at least coming from the same direction – south west. I see the odd weather conditions here even hit the bbc news. It is still raining, but blueski is increasing and the barometer rising 
so all fingers crossed…..
